Ghana international midfielder Afriyie Acquah scored his second goal of the season for Yeni Malatyaspor who defeated Denizlispor in the Turkey Super Lig on Sunday.
Acquah – who received a late invitation to join the Black Stars for the AFCON qualifying double header against Sudan – come to the national team on some serious form after scoring two goals in the last two appearances for his club.
The powerful midfielder – who started the 2015 AFCON final match for Ghana against the Ivory Coast – scored the second goal of his team in the 17th minute on the service of another Ghanaian international Benjamin Tetteh.
The former Palermo midfielder has started every league game for his team this season where he is also the deputy captain.
Yeni Malatyaspor are 9th in the standings in the 21-club competition.
