The 2017 Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) successful teams get to know their groups and respective opponents on Wednesday after the draw in Libreville.
With the nitty-gritty of the organizational and logistical arrangements for the tournament including accommodation, training sites, security, transportation, marketing and media amongst others discussed on Tuesday, the 12 hotels to accommodate all the finalists were identified.
Group A will be based in the Gabon capital, Libreville, Group B in Franceville, Group C in Oyem with Port Gentil hosting the teams in Group D.
Whilst host Gabon and holders are Cote d’Ivoire are certain to be Libreville and Oyem respectively, Ghana and Algeria, the other tops seeds in Pot 1 will learn their fate on Wednesday, during the draw, with the positions B1 or D1.
On Tuesday, there was also the balloting for the potential Hotels for the participating in view of the outcome of the draw.
Playing venues:
The opening and final matches will be held at the Stade de l’Amitié in Libreville, whilst Stade de Port-Gentil hosts the third place match. The quarter-finals will be played in each of the four venues with the semis taking place in Libreville and Franceville.
Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin Sredejovic and the commissioner, Omara Apitta are in Libreville as the country’s representatives at the draw.
