Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari is confident the Black Stars can still qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup despite their poor start in the qualifiers.

The Black Stars are five points adrift group E leaders Egypt after two rounds of the matches in the qualifiers, drew goalless with the Cranes of Uganda before losing 2-0 to Egypt in Alexandria.

Some football enthusiasts in the country have already given up on the Black Stars chances of securing qualification to the global showpiece claiming Ghana can’t make it to Russia despite four remaining matches in the qualifiers.

But Muntari speaking on the football legends night show on GHone TV insisted the Black Stars have bright chance of qualifying if they are able to win all their remaining matches in the qualifiers.

“The Back Stars can still make it to the World Cup,” He said

“In 2006 we lost our first game, we drew our second game and won the rest of the game and we made it to the World Cup.”
