Ghana will be without winger Thomas Agyapong for next month’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda.
The Nac Breda sprinter has been ruled out for six weeks with a knee injury.
Agyapong 21, suffered a setback at his Club NAC Breda and underwent a scan earlier this week.
Results of the scan revealed the player will not be available for selection for at least the next 45 days.
This has forced the high-flying winger to pull out of the Black Stars squad for the crucial clash.
Coach Kwesi Appiah is likely to invite a new player to replace the budding winger.
The former Ghana youth star was named in Coach Kwesi Appiah’s 26-man squad for the game in Kampala.
Agyapong became a household name in the Black Stars team having performed extremely well in his debut game for Ghana in the AFCON 2019 qualifying match against Ethiopia where Ghana won 5-0 convincingly.
He also played a key role in Ghana’s 5-1 demolishing exercise over Congo in a World Cup qualifier last Month.
