Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has said that Ghana is ready to take on Sierra Leone AFCON qualifier in Kumasi on Thursday 11th October, 2018.
Asamoah Gyan, who missed Ghana’s 1-0 defeat to Kenya a month ago, returns to the team beaming with confidence that the players are ready give Ghanaians victory against the Leone Stars.
The 32-year-old striker believes the is so much quality in the current Black Stars team capable of beating Sierra Leone to fasten qualification to next year’s tournament in Cameroon.
”I’m not God but I’m sure with the quality that we have, we’ll be able to qualify,” Gyan told the media when the team arrived in Kumasi.
”In football, defeat comes in anyway but you’ll only have to be in your winning ways to get things going,” Gyan added.
”Everything is ready with us as players,” he added.
He also called on the fans to massively rally behind the team to ginger them deliver perfectly against Sierra Leone.
”The most important thing is that we win our game.
”Everyone has his or her opinion, I’ll only have to be happy as a captain if we win our game.
”Kumasi fans are exceptional and I except a massive support from the fans here even though Thursdays is a working but wouldn’t stop them from throwing their support behind us,”
