Black Stars will begin training on Monday, October 8 in Kumasi ahead of their 2019 AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone.
The West African powerhouse will welcome Sierra Leone in the first leg of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers on next week Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and are set to commence training ahead of the clash on Monday.
”The Black Stars are set to begin training on Monday, October 8, 2018, for the qualifier scheduled for Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Baba Yara Stadium. The training starts at 3pm” the Normalization said in a statement released.
Kwasi Appiah and his charges recorded a resounding 5:0 victory in their opening group game against Ethiopia, but shockingly lost 1:0 to the Harambee Stars of Kenya in September’s second round of fixtures.
The group is currently open with all four nations boasting of three points. Ghana currently lead courtesy superiority in terms of goals difference.
Should the Black Stars beat Sierra Leone next Thursday, they will have a better chance of making it pass the group stage before the return encounter at Freetown, Sierra Leone next Sunday.
