Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu is still unhappy with his side’s conversion rate despite beating Legon Cities 1-0 over the weekend in the Ghana Premier League matchday five fixture.
The Porcupine Warriors haven’t scored more than one goal in all competitions this term, and in the league they have recorded 1-1 draws with Techiman Eleven Wonders and Berekum Chelsea followed by a 1-0 win over Legon Cities last Saturday.
The club’s forwards including Kwame Poku, Ibrahim Osman, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Evans Adomako, among others, have failed bang in the goals for the Kumasi-based side, a situation that worries head coach Maxwell Konadu.
“It’s not easy but we can also agree with our strikers that they are, at least, scoring. Going forward, we need to work much harder to improve on our scoring rate,” Konadu said after the game.
“It’s is a difficult league and I know that we have to do much better if we want to win it.”
Kotoko will next play Accra Great Olympics on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium in matchday six of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
