Accra Lions FC were beaten by Dreams FC in the week three encounter against Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League 2021-22 season in Dawu.
The Lions Dreams of a first win of the season was crushed by a determined Green and Whites lads at the theater of Dreams on Saturday afternoon.
Ali Huzaf gave the hosts a 12th minutes lead with a beautiful strike to put Dreams FC in front and settled some nerves very early in the game to make it a perfect start to the match.
Eight minutes later after going in front, starman, Agyenim Boateng Mensah scored his second goal of the season to make it 2-0 on the 20th minute mark.
Three minutes later, Rauf Salifu scored a consolation goal for the newly promoted side to set up a perfect second half with his second of the season after 23 minutes of action.
Agyenim Mensah grabbed his brace after 74 minutes to make sure the home grabbed their second consecutive win of the season after suffering defeat in their opening game against League leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC.
Accra Lions are winless in three attempts in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season after their promotion to the top-flight Bechem United FC next Saturday in Accra.
Dreams FC will also travel to Accra to face Accra Great Olympics FC in the week four round of matches.
