The Atlas Lions of Morocco will be the first country to arrive in Cameroon ahead of the 2021 AFCON which starts on January 9.
Head coach Vahid Halilhodzic will name his 28-man squad for the tournament today (Thursday) and sportsworldghana.com can confirm that they will begin their training camping at the Maamoura Sports Complex on December 27th before departing for Cameroon on January 1, 2022.
Morocco who are one of the favorites to win the competition are in the same Group with Ghana, Comoros Island and Gabon. They will face the Black Stars in their opening game on January 10.
The Atlas Lions are arriving nine clear days before their first game as they want to acclimatize to the weather in Cameroon.
