Ahead of the last two match days to complete the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications series SPORTSWorldGhana.com takes a look at qualifying Group F and presents that each teams need in order to qualify for the finals of the tournament.
Cameroon – 10 points + 6 goals – already qualified as hosts
As the hosts of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon will participate in the qualifiers with the team guaranteed a spot in the finals regardless of its ranking in the group. Their matches and results will count in determining the qualification of the other teams from their group.
Even if Cameroon loses their last two games, they will still qualify for the tournament as hosts but now they have qualified via the group play.
Mozambique – 4 points -3 goals
They are 2nd with four points from 4 games and need at least 3 points to qualify alongside Cameroon but they will hope that Cape Verde to do get good results over Cameroon. Mozambique play against Rwanda at away and Caper Verde at home.
Cape Verde – 4 points 0 goals
Cape Verde need to beat Cameroon on 26th March and then hope to shock Mozambique at their own turf during the last match.
A defeat against Cameroon will make things harder for Cape Verde.
Rwanda – 2 points – 3 goals
If Rwanda beat both Mozambique and Cameroon , they would have reached 8 points but they will have to hoe that Cape Verde do not win against Mozambique and Cameroon.
