Colchester United teenager Kwame Poku Afriyie is likely to feature for Ghana against Sao Tome in the last Group C game on Sunday.
The talented Colchester United central midfielder is currently on his way to Accra and will wait for the main Black Stars team to return from the game with South Africa on Thursday before joining them.
Media reports were that the 19-year-old midfielder was to play for the Black Stars B team in the friendly with Uzbekistan but Sportsworldghana.com can confirm that there is no iota of truth in it and he will be with the Team A for the last game as UK residents have been advised not to step in South Africa because of the rising cases of Covid-19 there.
Poku won Colchester United young player of the year in 2020 and also was nominated for both goal of the season and best player of the season award.
