Ghana coach Otto Addo says Nigeria are not favourites going into the second leg of the 2022 World Cup play-off on Tuesday in Abuja.
The first leg ended goalless at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, meaning a win in Abuja would see the Super Eagles book qualification to their seventh finals appearance.
Ghana, on the other hand, need a win or a goalless draw to seal a ticket to Qatar.
Addo whose tactics saw Simon Moses and Victor Osimhen, handled perfectly by Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey and debutant Denis Odoi respectively, is confident that Ghana will make it to Qatar.
“The result doesn’t change anything. When we go there we want to win.”
“Even though our Africa Cup of Nations was not good this year, you saw we matched Nigeria in the first leg,” said the former Black Star.
“So I don’t see them as favourites, the pressure will be on them at home and away goals can hurt a lot.”
The game will take place at Moshood Abiola National Stadium and will kick off at 5 p.m. local time.
