Some Ghanaian sports journalists and football fans, have taken to social media to react to Ghana assistant manager George Boateng’s punditry job with beIN SPORTS during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Boateng has been named as part of beIN SPORTS star-studded punditry team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar.

beIN SPORTS is the Official Broadcaster of the global showpiece tournament in 24 Middle East and North Africa territories and France, and the 120 leading international, regional and local on-screen male and female talent bring together the greatest and most diverse broadcast team ever assembled.

Boateng is part of Ghana’s technical bench for the Mundial alongside Otto Addo, Chris Hughton and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.

The former Aston Villa U-23 manager joins the likes of Brazil legend Kaka, Marcel Desailly, David Villa, Alessandro Del Piero, Denmark’s Peter Schmeichel, France’s Arsene Wenger and 1998 World Cup winner Marcel Desailly, Germany’s 1990 winner Lothar Matthaus, Dutchman Ruud Gullit and former Republic of Ireland international Jason McAteer for the coverage of the tournament.

Check some journalists and fans reaction below:

◾️George Boateng does Black Stars and will do punditry job for beIN
◾️Didi Dramani does Black Stars and Right To Dream jobs

This is highly unacceptable, the @ghanafaofficial , should stop this man from making any appearance on the Channel to enable him focus solely on the @GhanaBlackstars job. pic.twitter.com/HcqvhkSkKB

The day @ghanafaofficial asked for fasting and prayers for the #BlackStars is the same day it was announced that assistant coach George Boateng will be part of BeIN sports pundits for the World Cup.

Just so you know what to do with your prayers and fasting.

Whether George Boateng's punditry gig gets activated before or after the World Cup, it is a bad look for the Black Stars Qatar trip

Otto part time. George Boateng on the Bein Sport punditry team.

The vibe the technical team sends with their decisions about the Black Stars is the exact opposite of what a national team will do. pic.twitter.com/Fn1JYKN1mO

Boateng, a former Dutch international, will be hoping to guide the Black Stars past the group stage phase after a poor showing during the 2014 edition in Brazil.
