The Mustapha Tchaker Stadium will be equipped with VAR technology for the second leg of the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff between Algeria and Cameroon in March.

The Algerian FA on Wednesday, February 2,  appointed Mohamed Bichari, Vice-President of the Federal Referee Committee, to oversee the installation at the stadium.

This will be one of the few venues to have VAR in the crunch playoff’s as teams battle for the five slots allocated for the African continent.

It is yet to be known whether Cameroon will have access to those which are being used for the AFCON for the first leg of the tie.
