Former Nigerian goalkeeper Peter Rufai is confident that the Super Eagles will see off Ghana and qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Rufai maintains that the absence of Ndidi is not a big deal as he believes the others can do the job and see off Ghana in the play off.

“I am very confident that the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup slated for Qatar.” Rufai indicated.

“It is sad that Wilfred Ndidi will be missing the double header clash against the Black Stars of Ghana. However, his absence doesn’t mean the Super Eagles will not overcome their West African neighbour.”

“I agree that he’s an important player to the team, but then, we have capable players that will fill the void for us. Onyeka can do a nice job in that position.”
Ghana will host Nigeria at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Friday March 25, with the return leg slated for Abuja on Match 29.
