Ghana’s Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has promised Ghanaians that the entire team will give out everything to get the needed three points against Zimbabwe in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers game against Zimbabwe later this evening.
Ghana have a two point advantage against their opponents going into the match after two round of games.
The Black Stars sit in second place with three points while the Warriors languish at the bottom of Group G with one point.
The two teams will lock horns at the Cape Coast stadium in a match day three encounter on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
“It is very important to have a full squad and for me they are back and fit from injury is a blessing and they have a chance to play. So for them to be back, I’m very happy and I hope that all the others can come back and join us to play the game,” Ayew said during the pre-match conference.
Andre, additionally called on Ghanaians to throng the Cape Stadium to back to team to beat Zimbabwe.
He said: We want to thank them for the last time against Ethiopia and they came in their numbers though with the COVID situation and the stadium cannot be fully packed but they came in their numbers which gave us the victory. We hope and pray that they will beach tomorrow in their numbers and we will make sure we give out everything to get the three points and put ourselves back on track.
