The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has invited Vitoria Guimaraes defender, Abdul Mumin, to play in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and the Central African Republic next month, according to his club.
Mumin has been in top form since moving to Portugal from Denmark, making 26 appearances.
The defender will also be part of the Black Stars side for international friendlies against Japan and Chile in Japan later next month.

Confirmoing Mumin’s call-up, the club said: “Vitória SC defender Abdul Mumin has been called up for four Ghana national team matches, which take place in the first two weeks of June.”
“The first match, against Madagascar, takes place on the 1st of June, while the confrontation with the Central African Republic Team is scheduled for the 5th of the same month. Both matches are from the qualifying group stage for the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

“Then, Ghana will play two preparation games in Japan, first against the Japanese, on June 10, and then against Chile, on June 14.”
Meanwhile, Coach Otto Addo is expected to release his squad for the upcoming games in the coming days.
