FC Samartex 1996 entertain Legon Cities at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday.

The Timber Giants are 6th in the league table with 14 points, having won 3, drawn 5 and suffered just a single defeat. They’ve scored 8 and conceded 6. The defending champions goes into the game with an unbeaten record in all their home league matches this season (W3, D1) without conceding in the last two.

Legon Cities are 17th in the league table despite back-to-back wins in their last two consecutive games (W2, D2, L5). They’ve scored 8 and conceded the most goals in the league (13). The Royals are winless in all their away fixtures in this campaign (D1, L3).  They will hope for their first away victory of the season on Sunday against a side that they’ve really struggled against since 2022/23 season.

FC Samartex 1996 have played Legon Cities twice at home in the league since the Timber Giants gained promotion into the Premiership in the 2022/23 season with FC Samartex winning in both encounters.

In the 2022/23 season, FC Samartex beat Legon Cities 2-1 and won 3-0 in the 2023/24 season.
