Timothy Kantanka, captain of the Futsal National Team, has affirmed the team’s readiness for the upcoming 2024 Futsal African Cup of Nations in Morocco, slated to commence on Thursday.
Ghana, absent from the tournament since their last appearance in 1996, finds itself in Group A alongside Zambia, Angola, and hosts Morocco.
Kantanka, instrumental in leading Ghana to the tournament after a historic qualification victory over Ivory Coast, expressed confidence in the team’s preparedness after extensive training and pre-tournament friendlies.
“Preparations have been good and we are ready for the tournament. We expect a victorious tournament. Qualification to the World Cup is our target and then we will think about winning the trophy,” Kantanka disclosed.
