Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has expressed confidence ahead of his team’s second encounter against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, scheduled for Tuesday, October 15.
The first meeting between the two sides ended in a goalless draw last Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium, leaving the Black Stars in search of a crucial win in the reverse fixture.
Reflecting on the previous game, Coach Addo emphasized that Ghana deserved to win and remains optimistic about his team’s chances in the upcoming match.
“It’s part of football, sometimes you’re lucky, sometimes you’re unlucky. But the probability is very high that you can’t be unlucky three times in a row. If we show the same attitude, the same belief, and stay mentally strong, I’m confident we will win this game. The last match gives me great confidence that we can do it,” Addo remarked.
The Black Stars will face Sudan in Libya, with the match kicking off at 13:00 GMT. With their AFCON hopes on the line, Ghana will be looking to secure all three points and boost their qualification chances.
