Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Udi Didi Dramani has challenged his players to show greater decisiveness as they prepare for Saturday’s Ghana Premier League encounter against Nations FC.
The Phobians will host the Week 14 fixture at the Legon Sports Stadium, aiming to bounce back quickly from their most recent setback in the league.
Hearts head into the match following a 2-0 defeat away to Karela United in Tamale last weekend, a result that stalled their momentum in the tightly contested title race. Nations FC, meanwhile, arrive in Accra in high spirits after staging a 2-1 comeback victory over Heart of Lions.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Dramani highlighted lapses in decision-making as a key area his side must improve, particularly in crucial moments during matches.
“I think the areas where we faltered are very decisive in terms of where we need to make the right decisions — the right move, the right pass and better execution,†Dramani told Hearts TV. “These are areas we keep emphasizing. We need to be consistent in how we do things and more sustainable in our approach.â€
After 13 league matches, Hearts of Oak have amassed 21 points, recording five wins, six draws and two defeats. They sit level on points with rivals Asante Kotoko and FC Samartex in a congested top half of the league table.
At the top of the standings, Aduana Stars moved into first place on Friday after edging Heart of Lions to reach 27 points, further increasing the pressure on the chasing pack ahead of Matchday 14.
