Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has vowed that the Black Stars will bring a unique flair to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, promising fans a team that will stand out both on and off the pitch.

Speaking about the squad’s preparations, the Man City forward highlighted Ghana’s passion for football and the vibrant support the team enjoys from home.

“We’re gonna come in big bunches. In big tournaments, we want to be different from other nations, whether it’s dancing or singing, just supporting the crowds. It’s endless. I think Ghana runs through so many people’s veins back home. We love football. The World Cup will be amazing. Hopefully, God willing, we do well. Looking forward to playing in America.”

The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside European heavyweights England, 2018 finalists Croatia, and Panama. Ghana will kick off their campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto before facing England in a high-stakes encounter in Boston on June 23. The group stage will conclude against Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.

Ghana will be making their fifth World Cup appearance, having previously featured in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2022. Their best performance remains the 2010 edition in South Africa, where they reached the quarterfinals, narrowly missing out on a historic semifinal berth.

With Semenyo’s promise of passion, flair, and a commitment to entertain, the Black Stars are looking to make a statement on the global stage in North America, aiming to blend football excellence with the unique vibrancy Ghana is known for.
