Head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo, expressed confidence ahead of their encounter against Mali in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, acknowledging the tough challenge awaiting them in Bamako.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Addo emphasized the readiness of his team, stating, “Surely I think we are ready for the game. I was very satisfied with how the players understood how we want to play.”
Despite Ghana’s disappointing performance in the AFCON, Addo remained optimistic, asserting, “We have the quality to compete against them although we didn’t have a good AFCON. We have the players to get three points from Mali.”
The World Cup qualifier between Mali and Ghana is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, with kick-off at 7 pm.
