Barcelona have announced that Pedri and Ferran Torres have tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of their Copa del Rey round of 32 fixture against Linares Deportivo on Wednesday.
Pedri now joins Xavi’s list of unavailable players, whilst new signing Ferran Torres would not have been eligible regardless due to not being registered for the first team.
The news comes on the same day that Ferran Torres was unveiled as a new Barcelona player at the Camp Nou to the fans, where club president Joan Laporta held a press conference.
After rushing to try and get Ferran Torres registered, his positive Covid test means that his registration will likely be delayed further.
