The Nigeria Football Federation NFF is looking forward to terminate the contract of Portuguese coach, Jose Peseiro as the Super Eagles head coach and hand Augustine Eguavoen a permanent deak .
Peseiro was appointed to succeed Gernot Rohr but due to the limited time, former skipper Augustine Eguavoen was given the job to handle the Super Eagles at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon on interim basis.
However, following the impressive performance of the team under the guidance of Eguavoen, the NFF is considering canceling the contract of Peseiro for Eguaveon to continue.
Nigeria were the only country to amass nine maximum points from three games in the Group stages of the 2021 AFCON.
