Asamoah gets Togo call up for friendlies with Sierra Leone and Benin

Craiova midfielder Samuel Asamoah has earned a call up for Togo’s impending friendly games against Sierra Leone and Benin in Turkey.

The former Sint-Truiden enforcer is among the 38 players called by manager Paulo Duarte for the two games.

Born in Ghana, Asamoah’s mother is a Togolese which made him to opt for the country after being overlooked by Ghana.

Fellow compatriot Kennedy Boateng who also switched allegiance to play for the Hawks last month was not invited.
