Ghana international Tariqe Fosu-Henry has expressed excitement after making his English Premier League debut for Brentford over the weekend.

The Ghanaian international was a second half substitute for the Bees in their 2-1 away defeat at the King Power stadium with a second half appearance.

Fosu had not played a single game in the English top-flight football for since promotion but had the chance to finally have a taste of the most talked about League in the world.

His last game was in the EFL Cup away at Stoke City on October 27 where he played 18 minutes in Brentford’s 2-1 win.

The 26-year-old since then has been out with a hot injury which has kept him out of football for almost five months on the sidelines.

He was introduced to the match at the time his team was trailing by two goals away at Leicester as he came on to replace Rico Henry after 74 minutes.

Timothy Castagne shot Leicester City ahead after 20 minutes on the clock before James Maddison doubled the lead in the 33rd minute.

Congolese winger Yoane Wissa, however, scored the only consolation goal for Brentford with five minutes to full 90 duration of the game.

He played in the last quarter of the match and helped his team to score a goal to make it 2-1 to go home with a more respectable score line.

“Happy to make my Premier League debut today. Not the result we wanted but we will build and try to put it the right next game. Big shout out to the fans for their support as always. Proud for me and my family, thanks you all for the messages,” Tariqe wrote on Intsagram.
