Ghanaian international winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei has returned to the Ghana senior national team since 2019 ahead of the Nigeria match on Friday in Ghana.
The 27-year-old who plays in the German Bundesliga for newly promoted team VFL Bochum has earned head coach Otto Addo’s trust as he includes him in the squad for the playoffs for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
VFL Bochum’s press release ahead of the international break revealed that midfielder Christopher Antwi-Adjei was invited to the Black Stars squad for the World Cup playoffs vs Nigeria.
This was confirmed by head coach Otto Addo when he announced his 27-man squad for the crucial encounter against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Adjei last played for Ghana in 2019; he has featured in 23 Bundesliga games this season.
