Accra Hearts of Oak SC goalkeeper, Richmond Ayi has apologized to the fans of the club following his error in the game against Elmina Sharks FC.

He was earlier a villain but later became a hero to send Hearts to the quarter-final of the MTN FA Cup Competition with four penalty saves.

Ayi conceded an avoidable goal in the second half frm a feeler shot which put his team under pressure.

But after the Phobians scored a late equalizer, Ayi then produced a wonderful performance in the penalty shoot-outs to send Hearts through.

“My sincere apologies to the Oak family. I thank everyone for the support and prayers, the gifts I really appreciate it all”,he wrote on social media.
