Legendary Ghana captain, Stephen Appiah has imposed his believes in the Black Stars team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup playoffs against Nigeria in Abuja today.
The former Ghana captain has urged the Black Stars players to go all out and silence noisy brothers and neighbors at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
He led Ghana to two back-to-back FIFA World Cup tournaments in 2006 and 2010 respectively and is widely recognized as Ghana’s best ever captain.
“The time to add to our long list of football success stories is here, and I urge you to go in for the gold”, legendary Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah to Ghana players.
“Let go all out and silence our noisy brothers and neighbors and I believe you guys are capable of doing that.”
“Be bold, I once again impose my believe in you and remember all you need is perseverance, self believe and teamwork to beat your opponent”, Appiah added.
The game kicks off at 5pm today, Tuesday, March 29 in Abuja at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
A scoring draw will see Ghana qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup mundial in Qatar in November this year whiles Nigeria needs a win to make it at the expense of Ghana.
