Ghanaian defenders Jamal Amofa and Tyrese Asante missed out on Dutch Eredivise play off on Sunday night with ADO Den Haag.

The two players started the intriguing game which saw Excelsoir coming from 3-0 down to draw 4-4 and subsequently winning on penalties.

It was a day of mixed feelings for Amofa aged 23 and Asante aged 20 as the latter had a red card for a second bookable offense but it was overturned by VAR.

In the penalty shootout, Asante netted the fourth kick where as Amofa had his 7th kick saved which gave Excelsoir a 7-6 win.
