Former Accra Hearts of Oak SC defender Larry Sumaila Ibrahim has signed for newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Samartex FC.
The 25-year-old defender has joined the Green and Whites Timbers for the upcoming 2022-23 season in the Ghanaian top-flight.
Sumaila was part of the Phobians when they ended their 12 years wait for their first GPL title in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League.
“We are excited to announce the signing of experienced right-back, Larry Sumaila on a permanent deal”.
“Sumaila who joins us on a free transfer last played for Hearts of Oak in the most recent season”, the club announced.
He also won two back to back MTN FA CUP trophies during his stay at the club before he was released this summer by the Phobians.
