Ghana’s forward Kwabena Owusu was in dazzling star for Qarabag FK in the UEFA Europa League opener on Thursday evening.
The Ghanaian forward provided an assist for his team in their narrow defeat at the hands of Germany Bundesliga side SC Freiburg at the Europa Stadium.
Owusu set up Marko Vesovic to score the equalizer for the away team in the 39th minute to restore parity before the half time whistle.
Unfortunately for him, Freiburg scored again in the second half to secure a vital home win over Owusu’s team in the opening fixture of the competition.
The Ghanaian forward has scored three goals and provided two assists this season for Qarabag FK.
