Ghanaian striker, Asamoah Gyan, has revealed that 2010 was his best playing year in football.

The former Sunderland man shone that year, scoring three goals at the 2010 AFCON where Ghana claimed silver. He also scored three goals at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

That same year, he earned a move to Sunderland where he lit up the Premier League for a short time. When asked about that year, Gyan had fond memories.

“2010 was my best year. It started in January in Angola in the Africa Cup,” he told DSTV.

“I went back to my club scoring goals, I was fit so going to the World Cup I was confident – the most confident player in the world. I felt very good, everything was working. I came to music and music was working. Everything was working for me in 2010 so going there I knew I was going to deliver,” he added.

Gyan is currently without a club.
