Former Ghana Football Association vice president George Afriyie says African countries can only perform at the World Cup if only African countries invest in them.

He says African teams don’t do not perform so well at the World Cups because they don’t give it the value it deserves.

According to him, things will start changing when Africans begin to invest in their national teams and prepare them enough to rub shoulders with the rest of the world.

“African National teams do not perform so well at would cups because they don’t give it the value it deserves. Things will start changing when we begin to invest in our teams and prepare them enough to rub shoulders with world”,he told happy FM

Ghana will make their fourth appearance at the FIFA Mundial and will face Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H in Qatar next month.
