Ghana’s President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has visited the Black Stars hotel in Doha ahead of their first game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars face Portugal in their opener at the Stadium 974 on Thursday, looking to start the World Cup being staged in Qatar on a good note.
The President travelled on a Qatar Airways flight on Wednesday night to Doha, and he arrived in the Arab nation without incident.
His appearance is anticipated to give coach Otto Addo’s men, who are the underdogs going into the game, a lift.
The Black Stars are pitted against Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H, looking to advance past the first round.
