Spanish midfielder Rodrigo Hermandez Cascante has taken a swipe at the Atlas Lions of Morocco after they knocked his side out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The round of 16 game ended goalless after 120 minutes but Morocco went on to win 3-0 on penalties and Rodri insisted Morocco were poor.
“Morocco offered absolutely nothing. Without disrespecting them. In the game, they did nothing. They just waited for the counters. They stayed behind and tried to counter us!” Rodri stated after the game.
Morocco who will face Portugalin the quarter finals now joins Cameroon, Senegal and Morocco as the only African countries to reach the FIFA World Cup last eight.
