Earlier today, the Ghana Male U-20 team, Black Satellites, won 8-0 against lower-tier team Nsuopon Fidelity Soccer Academy in a friendly match at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The team scored four goals in the first half, with Ibrahim Mohammed of Nsoatreman BSA netting a brace, and Aaron Essel of Bechem United and Abdul Aziz Musibau of Still Believe scoring the other goals.

In the second half, the Black Satellites added four more goals with Clinton Doudo of Bechem United coming off the bench to score a brace, while Kelvin Nkrumah of Medeama and Emmanuel Mensah of Koforidua Semper FI scored the other goals.

The friendly match was part of the team’s preparations for the Male U-20 WAFU B Cup of Nations which will be held in Côte d’Ivoire from Friday, July 7 to Friday, June 21, 2023.

Ghana will compete against Nigeria, Cote D’Ivoire, Benin, Niger, Togo and Burkina Faso in the competition.

The Black Satellites are in Group A with host nation Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Niger, while Group B comprises Nigeria, Togo, and Burkina Faso. The team hopes to perform better in this year’s competition after being eliminated in the group stages of the previous edition held in Niger last year.
