Newly promoted Premier League side Luton Town have set sights on Ghana captain Andre Ayew as they plan for their maiden season in the top flight after a remarkable 31-year absence, new.sportsworldghana.com can exclusively report.

Luton Town will play in the Premier League for the first time after beating Coventry City 6-5 on penalties in Saturday’s Championship playoff final at Wembley Stadium, earning a return to England’s top flight after a 31-year absence.

Following the club’s qualification to the English Premier League, officials of the club, have identified the Ghanaian star as one of the experience players they would want to sign in their quest to excel in the debut season next year, Sportsworldghana.com understands.

This comes after our outfit reported earlier this week that Nottingham Forest won’t hand Ayew a new deal after surviving relegation. Meanwhile, the former Swansea City vice captain will take his time to carefully assess his options before making a decision to sign for the Premier League newcomers.

Ayew, who has amassed over 100 appearances in the Premier League since his debut in August 2015 with Swansea City, possesses a proven track record in English football’s top tier. With stints at West Ham United and Swansea City, he has demonstrated his ability to score goals and create opportunities for his teammates.

Joining Nottingham Forest earlier this season after his time with Qatari side Al Sadd, Ayew has continued to showcase his skills and experience.

In the ongoing season, he has made 12 appearances for Forest, adding to his impressive tally of 46 appearances with Swansea and 43 appearances with West Ham. The forward has 21 goals.

Luton Town’s promotion to the Premier League marks a significant milestone for the club and its passionate supporters. Their interest in signing Ayew reflects their ambition to assemble a competitive squad capable of making an impact in the top flight.

With Ayew weighing his options and carefully considering his next move, Luton Town remain hopeful that they can secure his services and bolster their squad for the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Luton, who finished third in the Championship and beat Sunderland in their play-off semi-final, sealed promotion when Coventry’s Dabo sent his penalty off-target after the previous 11 takers had all scored their spot kicks.
