Ghana’s Black Meteors management committee chairman Frederick Acheampong affectionately called Ache says Mohammed Kudus is not eligible to play for the U-23 team.

He stated that the Dutch Eredivisie giant AFC Ajax Amsterdam star player will not be able to participate in the upcoming 2023 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco later this month.

He revealed that the versatile Ghanaian player who will turn 23 in August, does not meet the eligibility criteria for the tournament.

Acheampong lifted the lid on the the situation of the Ghana star boy, stating, “Kudus Mohammed is not eligible because he was born in the year 2000.”

“However, there are other players in the Black Stars like Kamaldeen and Ernest Nuamah who will be needed in the Black Meteors squad”, he added.

Kudus has been a great and a delight to watch this season in the UEFA Champions League and Dutch Eredivisie for his team banging in the goals and attracting interest from big clubs.
