YorkTown Football Club secured promotion to the division two league after beating Kasoa Royals 0:1 in the central regional National middle league play-offs at the Roberts Mensah sports stadium in Cape Coast.
After a good showing in their sub-middle league play-off in Zone A of Awutu senya, where the team came tops out of three teams. They again, managed to gain promotion to the division two league. In Ten clubs and four defending champions playing saw their winner after a game to spare as the ‘Yellow and Green’ team proved too strong for their counterparts.
YorkTown Football club recorded three wins and shared two spoils which propelled them to qualify ahead of their other counterparts tied in points battle of number of goals scored.
Their qualification automatically grants them a slot in the Zone two of the division two league 2023/2024 season in greater Accra.
