The Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Mr Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku has pleaded with all stake holders to help curb low patronage of football games in the country.
The GFA Capo also pleaded with the clubs in the country to do their bit to ensure high patronage of the local leagues played across the country.
According to him, the responsibility is not solely the headache of the Ghana Football Association and for that matter all should play a role to ensure that supporters troop to the stadium to watch the GPL games.
“I think everyone will have to play a big part in ensuring that fans patronize our league”, Kurt Okraku.
“I have reiterated our desire to promote the league, and it is also important for the clubs to promote themselves and also get closer to the media to work towards the common vision’, he added.
Low patronage of Ghana Premier League and various lower leagues is on the rise which calls for drastic measures to make the game attractive to the fans.
