After a keenly contested game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 25, Evans Botchway’s 14th minute header became the decider.
Lions went into this game in search of the maximum points after drawing 2-2 against champions Medeama SC on match day 1.
Legon Cities on the other hand were Victorious in their match day 1 game after beating Karela United 2-1 at home.
Accra Lions are now second on the Ghana Premier League table while Legon Cities occupy the third position.
Accra Lions will be on the road on match day 3 against Berekem Chelsea while Legon Cities will host Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
