Ghanaian attacking midfielder Augustine Boakye is elated following Wolfsberger’s victory against LASK Linz in the Austrian Bundesliga on Saturday.
Boakye, formerly of West Africa Football Academy (WAFA), played a crucial role in his team’s success, providing a brilliant assist that contributed to their third win of the season.
The 22-year-old played a pivotal role by assisting Bamba Mohammed in scoring the opening goal in the 25th minute. After the victory, Boakye expressed his joy on social media, writing, Nothing is impossible,the word itself says I’m #Possible”
Florian Rieder extended the lead fifteen minutes after the initial goal, benefiting from an assist by substitute Lukas Ibertsberger. At halftime, Wolfsberger held a comfortable two-goal advantage.
Despite being reduced to ten players following Nikolas’ red card in the 73rd minute, Wolfsberger managed to hold on. Although Thomas Goiginger converted a late penalty to pull one back for LASK Linz, the home side secured a final score of 2-1 and climbed to fifth position in the league.
Boakye’s contributions have been impressive, with two goals and two assists in seven league appearances for Wolfsberger AC.
