The first day of matchday 2 of the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League in Ivory Coast saw Athletico Abidjan lose 2-1 to JKT Queens.

Adjoua Sandriene Niamien’s 33rd-minute goal broke the deadlock in the first half for Athletico Abidjan.  Substitute Winifred Gerald in the 66th minute equalised for the Tanzanians and Alia Salum, another substitute snatched the winner with five minutes to full time.

In the last game of the Group,  Mamelodi Sundowns won through Melinda Kgadiete’s 41st-minute goal.

The Bayana Ba Style’s  1-0 win against Sporting Casablanca put them on top of the group with 6 points followed by JKT Queens with four. Athletico Abidjan and Sporting Casablanca each have one point and are placed in 3rd and 4th positions respectively.

Day two of matchday two continues tomorrow in San Pedro as Ampem Darkoa plays against AS Mande while ASFAR and Huracanes square off.
