Young Ghanaian side Legon Cities FC is set to face off against giant Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC in their twelfth-week clash, scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the WAFA Park.

Both teams, currently grappling with their form, will be seeking a much-needed victory to climb the league ladder.

Legon Cities enters the fixture with a mixed recent performance, having secured one victory, suffered three defeats, and settled for a draw in their last five games.

The team faced a setback in their previous match, succumbing to a 1-0 defeat against Berekum Chelsea in the eleventh week. On the flip side, Asante Kotoko managed to secure a vital 1-0 win against reigning champions Medeama in their previous outing.

As the teams prepare to lock horns, Legon Cities finds themselves in the 16th position on the league table, amassing a total of 12 points. Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko sits slightly higher in the 13th spot, boasting 13 points. The closeness in points adds an extra layer of intensity to this encounter, as both teams strive to improve their standings.

Examining the possible starting lineups, Legon Cities is likely to deploy Kwame Aziz, Nicholas Mensah, Sulemana Mohammed, Frank Akoto, Rahman Abdul, Joseph Amoah, Samuel Tenedu, Frank Antwi, Nasiru Moro, Albert Yeboah, and Kwabena Boateng. Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, may field Frederick Asare, Augustine Agyepong, Sherif Mohammed, Henry Ansu, Yussif Nurudeen, John Tedeku, Michael Dwamena, Richard Lamptey, Julius Ziggy Ofori, Bernard Sarpong Somuah, and Yahaya Baba.

Predicting a scoreline of 2-1, the game is expected to be closely contested, with the Porcupine Warriors aiming to secure all three points.

The balanced nature of the game adds an element of unpredictability, making it a must-watch for football enthusiasts eager to witness the twists and turns of this intriguing encounter.
