The second semi-finals of the  FIFA U-17 World Cup saw France beat Mali 2-1 in Surakata at the Manahan Stadium.

Mali took the lead in the first half through Ibrahim Diarra’s opener in the 4th additional minute of the first half.

Souleymana Sanogo’s red card in the 55th minute gave France a numerical advantage as they immediately capitalized on it and levelled the scores in the 56th minute as Ishmael Buneb’s free-kick was headed in by Yvan Titi.

Ishmael Benab’s 69th-minute free-kick proved to be the winner as France held on to their 2-1 lead to qualify for the finals.

In Surukata at the Manahan Stadium on Sunday,  France will play against Germany for the ultimate.
