West Ham coach David Moyes has showered praise on Mohammed Kudus for his remarkable performance and seamless integration into the team.
Kudus, the Ghanaian midfielder who made a high-profile move from Ajax during the summer transfer window for a reported 43 million euros over a five-year deal, has notched up five goals in various competitions for the Hammers.
Moyes specifically commended Kudus for his influential role in the team’s recent 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at the London Olympic Stadium. The midfielder, who scored a well-taken goal, showcased his abilities by consistently challenging opposing full-back Tyrick Mitchell throughout the game.
“I really did (impress). Right from the start, he caused Tyrick Mitchell, who is a good full-back, a lot of problems. He was probably our brightest spark and our brightest chance to get a goal. He scored a really good goal, and it was a good move too, to get us the goal,” remarked Moyes during an interview with the club website.
Moyes also applauded Kudus for adapting well to the team, emphasizing his capability to score goals and create opportunities for his teammates. “He’s settled in well, getting us goals, and in the main, a lot of the forward boys – whether it be Tomáš Souček or Mo, or Lucas Paquetá or Jarrod Bowen – have been getting us goals, so long may it continue,” he added.
With 11 Premier League starts for West Ham, during which he scored three goals and provided an assist, Kudus aims to maintain his excellent form as the Hammers face Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday in the Premier League.
