Former Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is venturing into football management after hanging up his boots.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Boateng is gearing up to kickstart his managerial career in 2024, taking on a coaching role in the Baller League, an initiative led by German footballer Mats Hummels, Boateng’s former teammate in the German youth system.

Romano shared the development on social media, stating, “Kevin Prince Boateng, ready for a new chapter after retiring – as he’s expected to start in 2024 as the new team manager in Mats Hummels’ Baller League. His career will turn into a new experience soon.”

Boateng officially announced his retirement in August 2023. Throughout his illustrious career, he played for 15 clubs, including Italian giants AC Milan, where he played a key role in their 2011 Serie A title victory.

On the international stage, Boateng chose to represent Ghana in 2010 after initially featuring for Germany at the youth level.

With 15 caps and two goals, he participated in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups as part of the Black Stars squad.
