Karela United, a Ghana Premier League team, has successfully acquired the services of forward Welbeck Takyi during the ongoing transfer window.
The 22-year-old striker has inked a two-year deal with Karela United, aiming to contribute to the team’s performance in the Ghana Premier League.
Takyi, who previously played for Aduana Stars, joins Karela United with the objective of bolstering the team’s position in the league, following the conclusion of the first round. His move to Karela United comes after his stint with Aduana Stars, where he sought to establish himself but decided to make a switch after facing challenges in Dormaa.
Having initially joined Aduana Stars from Bofoakwa Tano, Takyi showcased his goal-scoring prowess by netting 20 goals in 24 games in the Division One League.
Karela United, currently positioned 15th on the league table with 16 points from 16 games, anticipates that Takyi’s goal-scoring abilities will contribute to improving the team’s standing in the league.
